According to legend Boyle town grew up around the hostel St. Attracta, Abbess of Killaraght, founded after St. Patrick passed through in AD 435 and stated that it needed better accommodation. Legend also has it, St. Patrick tumbled into the River Boyle and cursed the spot where he fell and the fishing has been poor there since then. 

Each cross is hand cast and artisan made using proprietary staining and molding process with a easy to use hanger embedded into the stone
